Lawyers at Norris Choplin Schroeder LLP have been selected to act as mediators and arbitrators in a broad range of cases generated from litigation pending inside the state of Indiana and across the Midwest. Lawyers also present cases to mediators and arbitration panels in the course of handling other cases.
Partners Rick Norris and Pete Schroeder have maintained robust mediation practices for more than 30 years, having participated in Indiana’s initial mediation pilot program. As a result of their early mediation training, Norris and Schroeder were among the first registered mediators in the state of Indiana in 1992, when the Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) rules were adopted.
Pete Schroeder has also been selected as an umpire in appraisal matters involving homeowners and motor vehicle insurance disputes.
Today mediation and arbitration continue to play an integral part in our approach to legal matters. In addition to Rick Norris and Pete Schroeder, additional registered mediators at the firm include Thomas Bays and Mary Jo Wedding.
