Mary Jo Wedding was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on December 15, 1962. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in 1985 and her Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University in May, 1988. She is a Registered Civil Mediator.

Ms. Wedding was admitted to the Bar of the State of Indiana and the United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana in 1988. She was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 1992. She is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations (Litigation, Tort and Insurance Practice and Young Lawyers Division Sections) and the Defense Research Institute.
