BRUCE L. KAMPLAIN a graduate of Hanover College and the Indiana University School of Law has over twenty eight years of experience in all phases of state and federal civil litigation, including arbitrations, hearings, mediations, trials, both bench and jury, and appeals. His practice encompasses insurance defense (bodily injury, wrongful death, mass torts (asbestos) and property damage), and a wide range of insurance coverage disputes and litigation, with a client base that includes general insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates and reinsurers, involving many different classes of business (particularly environmental, toxic tort and pharmaceutical). He is a Registered Civil Mediator. Law & Politics magazine named Bruce a Super Lawyer® in 2005 for his work in environmental law, civil litigation defense and insurance coverage. Mr. Kamplain was a Deputy Attorney General of Indiana, handling complex civil rights, employment discrimination, tort and other civil litigation. He was named an Honorary Attorney General and Advocate of the State of Indiana by Attorney General Linley E. Pearson in 1987. He served as chairman of the Insurance Coverage Section of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. The Marion Superior Court tapped Bruce to co-chair the Court's technology committee which developed an electronic service protocol for the asbestos docket.
